Maddie is a 1.5yo female australian shepherd mix who was surrendered by her young owner when he went away to college and his parents wouldn't take care of her. Maddie is just a little bit shy when meeting strangers but warms up quickly. She has a medium-high energy level and enjoys outings to the dog park where she can run and run. Loves to run and play outside, but then settles down quickly in the house. Likes to go for walks, loves to be with people, enjoys being petted and brushed. Not recommended for cats because, like most aussies, likes to chase them and herd them. Not living with children in current foster home so recommended for children 12 years and older. Great with other dogs. Good on a leash, rides great in the car. Knows basic commands. Housebroken and crate-trained, loves her crate. No issues such as separation anxiety, chewingor barking.
