Princess is a black and white bi-color Australian Shepherd who came to us with a litter of four, four week old, pups. They were released to us by the Mesa County Animal Shelter. She has a shorter coat, bi-colored eyes, and a docked tail. Princess seems to get along well with most dogs, and adult humans. Right now, it is hard to tell more because she is somewhat protective of her brood, and she does growl if anyone she does not know approaches her puppies. The pups are healthy, and the vet thinks that they are probably Aussie/Border Collie crosses. There is no way to be sure. They are all black with white points, just like mom. The puppies will be adopted out at 8 weeks of age. They will have their first and second puppy shots, and will be microchipped. They will be adopted out on a spay/neuter contract, with a refundable $50.00 deposit that is in addition to the adoption fee. That deposit will be refunded upon proof of alteration from an adopter's veterinarian. As with all our litters, we will be setting up a reservation list. Adoptions of puppies will be first come, first served. Adopters will be required to place a $75 hold deposit on whatever pup they want to adopt. Pups will be delivered at 8 weeks of age, and the remaining balance of the adoption fee/alteration deposit will be assessed at the time of delivery. If you have already submitted your application, and have completed your telephone interview, you can reserve a puppy by visiting our website at www.coloradoaussierescue.org, and clicking the Donate button under the puppy that you wish to reserve.
