Tex is a 5 or 6 year old Australian Shepherd/Red Heeler mix. He was a little afraid of the camera so his pictures don't really show his personality. Tex is a handsome, smart, and active guy. He wants very much to connect to people and to be their friend. Tex has some arthritis in his hips, which makes going up stairs painful for him. As a result, he needs to live in a one-story home. But other than stairs, Tex can run and hike with the best of them! Also because of the painfulness in his hips, he would be better in an adults-only household or with older children that would remember not to grab his legs or his tail. Tex is crate-trained and has been house-trained in the past. With a little refresher course in his new home, he will make a great companion around the house. With his energetic personality, he will make a great companion outdoors, as well. The adoption fee for this dog is $125 which includes the spay/neuter. We show dogs by appointment only.
