Pepper is a 9 month old female australian cattle dog mix who was rescued just in time from a rural Arkansas kill shelter. Pepper has a medium activity level. Loves to run and play outside, but then settles down quickly in the house. Likes to go for walks, loves to be with people, enjoys being petted and brushed. Barks at the cats so not recommended for homes with cats. Great with kids and other dogs. Recommended for children 6 years and older. Good on a leash, rides great in the car. Knows basic commands. Housebroken and crate-trained. No issues such as separation anxiety, chewing or barking. Weighs about 35#, healthy, altered and utd on shots. Here's a note from her foster mom: 'Pepper is a sweet young dog who was obviously neglected in her previous home. When she came to us she was thin, not housebroken or crate-trained and very timid around humans. After a couple of weeks at our house she has gained weight, is now housebroken and crate-trained (she goes into her crate upon the command 'kennel up'), obeys basic commands and gaining confidence around humans although still a little bit shy. She enjoys being petted and loved on and really enjoys her walks. Great with other dogs, and true to her breed she likes to 'herd' my dogs while they are playing in the backyard. She's somewhat small at 35 pounds and, according to the vet, she's not expected to get any bigger. This is a nice little dog who needs a good family who will never neglect her again and who has the patience to help her gain confidence and be the best dog she can be.'To adopt please fill out an adoption application. For more information about our adoption procedures and fees, please visit our homepage at Good Dog Rescue. For more information or if your have questions email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
