Cinnamon is around 3 years old. She is a special adopt due to some behavior issues, meaning potential adopters will be required to meet with our dog trainer before taking Cinnamon home to discuss her behavior and the best ways to work with it. When Cinnamon gets excited about anything, she has learned a very inappropriate response of hard mouthing; that is, putting her mouth on people not enough to break skin, but enough that it is rather painful. Our dog trainer has been working consistently with Cinnamon on this behavior and she has gotten a lot better with positive reinforcement and the very occasional use of a citronella spray as a correction, but she is still going to be a challenge for potential adopters.Because of this behavior and Cinnamon''s potential to unintentionally injure with her hard-mouthing, we are requiring an adults-only home for her. She lived with another dog in her previous home but does not get along with new dogs at all, so she will also need to be an only pet. Despite her problems, Cinnamon has a lot of redeeming qualities; she''s snuggly, playful, and attention-seeking, and has a face you''ve just got to love! She''s also housetrained and easily relinquishes food and toys.
