From Mindy -> This message and pictures are from a friend of mine in Ohio. This dog was nothing but bones when I saw the last picture and his teeth were so bad that he couldn’t eat. I sponsored him for all the dental work (about $550) and now will list this dog for adoption to help get him placed.
From Shannon -> I would like everyone to meet CANE. He is about 2 years old and he is an American Staffordshire Terrier (aka a “Pit'). He was rescued by the Lorain Police Department. An officer found him running the streeets a few weeks back when it was 10 degrees out and he was skin and bones. The officer put him in the back of the cruiser and took him to McDonalds for a sandwich and, knowing his breed, if he dropped him off at the county kennel it would have meant certain death because of his bloodline ('such idiots' BSL). I was called and asked for help to try and place him. Cane has been neutered and has put on 15 lbs. All shots are updated, heartworm tested negative, and even had a full dental clean and scrub. He is crate trained , housetrained and plays well with all the dogs here (21 of them as we speak , LOL).
