Description:
JASMINE is not more than a year old and has suffered more than most. Rescued from rural Northern Nebraska, she comes to us with lots of love, licks and wiggles to offer. Jasmine's sorry excuse for caregivers decided they no longer wanted to care for her. Since there are not many available shelters or rescues in the area, they took her trusting heart to the woods and shot her in the head and left her there to bleed to death. Amazingly, Jasmine found strength to find her way home..back to the ones she thought loved her only to find herself, once again, at the end of a shot gun barrel and was shot again. Area residents found her wandering, bleeding and confused. This story sickens and disturbs many, as it should. Jasmine's appearance has been altered forever now but her trust and love for humans remains untarnished. Once our devoted foster home pampers her back to health and we have her spayed and content she will be available for adoption. We post her story now in an effort for public awareness and education of this wonderful and forgiving breed. Donations are welcome to assist in Jasmine's rehab. They can be made at the Benson Animal Clinic in Omaha or mailed to HHA, PO BOX 244 Hastings IA 51540. We will be sure to give Jasmine a great big hug from all of you who have inquired and cared about her story!
