Meet Lucy! Lucy is a beautiful dark chocloate brown and approximately two years old. She is amazingly sweet for the little attention that she received. She was tethered for approximately 18 months and then kenneled for the next six months She was outside 24/7. But considering she had little to no access to a home enviroment she's learned how to behave in a home amazingly quickly. She became housebroken with no more accidents within a few days. She loves to chew but hasn't destroyed anything in the house. As long as she has her hooves and toys to play with, she's perfectly content. She walks best on a gentle/easy leader and enjoys her two long walks with her foster family a day. And, she is good girl when stopped to talk with 'strangers' on her walk. She does show an interest in other dogs as far as playing and would likely be just fine paired with another male dog. She is gentle with the cats in foster that don't run away but wants to give chase to the cats that do run. However, she has not harmed any of them; when she catches up to them she just sniffs and then walks away. She does well in a crate; she is crated at night so she can sleep in the bedroom with her foster family. In the beginning, she would whimper but now she goes in and goes to sleep. Lucy will be spayed prior to adoption. She is SO grateful and happy to finally be in a warm loving foster home and we hope to find her a permanent home where she'll never have to live her life cold and lonely again.
