Four Month Old Bundle of Love!
About a week ago, Southern Indiana Rescue Effort responded to a email from animal rescuer Bethany Mull concerning a number of unfortunate animals at the Jeffersonville Indiana Animal Control. Most, if not all, of these dog's 'time' was up, and some were in danger of being immediately euthanized. Due to space and other limitations we were only able to choose two, but the two that were chosen are in good hands, and will never have to face being slaughtered simply because they are considered 'excess' animals. Our first rescue from Jeffersonville's high-kill pound is a gorgeous little female American Staffordshire Terrier/Boxer mix. Weighing in at only twenty pounds and four months of age, Josie Jo is a brindle colored 'snugglebunny' that has to be seen to be appreciated! This playful little pup's personality is superb; a wee bit timid to begin with, but very gentle and loving once she feels comfortable. Josie gets along well with both dogs and cats, and would be an absolutely awesome addition to any family with children. Josie has already had her first vaccines, including bordetella, started on heartworm preventative, and will soon have an appointment at Vanderburgh Humane Society's Spay/Neuter Clinic to be spayed. If you would like to meet little Josie, or get more information regarding our adoption procedures, please call 812-430-8009. Please hurry though, folks...this beautiful little girl wants a family NOW! :)
