Description:
HOLLYWOOD NEEDS A HOME PLEASE READ THE VERY HONEST DESCRIPTION OF HOLLYWOOD AND IF YOU UNDERSTAND HIS BREED AND ARE WILLING TO TAKE ON THE HUGE RESPONSIBILITY OF THIS DOG THEN PLEASE CONTACT ME OR williamstimberco@bellsouth.net Okay, first of all, he's current on all vaccinations & HeartGuard. He is 4 years & 7 months old, I think, but he acts like a puppy. He has been neutered. My vet has all this info if anyone wants to know. He weighs in the 70's. He is EXTREMELY strong, which made it difficult for me to walk him. I gave up after he jerked me around so hard I have neck problems. I couldn't train him to behave on a leash. He's very stubborn, however, the right person could train him. He will sit on command. He eats everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, that he can get his mouth on. He's had surgery to have part of a bedspread removed. His intestines were about to rupture. He came very close to dying another time after eating what we think was poison mushrooms. He is smart & crafty & a first class escape artist. He can open any gate unless it is chained just right. Oh, and he loves carrots. They are his favorite treat. He cannot be given any type chew toy. He almost suffocated when the end of a rawhide bone got stuck in his throat. He lives with a cat & another dog, which he gets along with just fine. He is wary of strangers, but quickly makes friends. He loves attention & is very affectionate. He is very protective of his territory & puts on a big show, but is actually a sissy. He barks at night at every little noise he hears, so it would be better if he had a home that was not right smack dab in town like mine. He hasn't always slept outside, though, so I think he may just be nervous. The lady that is trying to find a home for Hollywood requires that you take him home with you for a trial period and if he does not work out that you bring him back to her. HE IS A SPECIAL NEEDS DOG AND NEEDS A STRONG HANDLER AND A STABLE HOME AND SOMEONE WHO IS WILLING TO TAKE LOTS OF TIME WITH HIM. IF HE GETS LOTS OF ATTENTION AND WALKS AND THINGS TO KEEP HIM BUSY THEN HIS BEHAVIOR WILL CHANGE. HE IS A GREAT DOG BUT THE RIGHT PERSON CAN MAKE HIM A WONDERFUL PET
