Description: 
A City Kitties volunteer found this gorgeous young pit bull terrier running through the streets on 10/24. Neko is approximately 1-2 years old and is a solid, sound, all-around awesome dog with so much potential! This gentle girl LOVES people and wants nothing more than to cuddle on the couch with you or roll over for a belly rub. She is smart and eager to learn--she already knows how to sit and responds well to training. Neko is housebroken and is learning to walk nicely on her leash and Gentle Leader halti. She has spent time in her crate, and though she will bark for a few minutes, she calms down and goes to sleep like a good girl. Neko has done very well with other dogs so far. She was introduced to a male pit bull and within a few minutes was play-bowing and having a great time. We don't think Neko spent any time around indoor cats prior to her rescue, but when properly introduced she seems to do well with them. Like most pit bulls, Neko has a lot of energy and needs daily exercise and mental stimulation to keep her happy and well-behaved.
