Description:
Meet Prue!
Prue was found by a good Samaritan along with Piper and Phoebe who appear to be her relatives of some sort. The girls were terribly emaciated but in good spirits. They were taken to an area shelter to finish out their stray hold and this girl is STILL looking for a more permanent foster home!
Prue is gaining weight and is very much people oriented. She's going to need someone compassionate that can help build her confidence some as her life has been a whirlwind for only God knows how long! She's new to our program but from what we can tell, it seems she'll be easy to train! Unfortunately, this girl is heartworm positive so she'll need a long term foster home (approximately 6 months) to get healthy and get treated for the heartworms. We keep dogs in our program for a minimum of 30 days to start basic obedience training and house manners. We also make sure they're up to date on all of their vaccinations, spayed and microchipped before going to their forever homes.
Prue is a petite girl who at ideal weight MAY reach 45lbs. We believe she's about 3-4 years old and is ready to get on the road to her new and healthy life. Ideally, we'd like to place Prue in a home with no other dogs. She's not bad with them but she needs that one on one time to learn what living is REALLY all about. She'll also need some extra care and socialization. We will consider each applicant to make sure its a good fit for dog and foster home.
If you are interested in providing a long term home for Phoebe, please fill out our Foster Application.
