Description:
Foster Olive today! Olive is currently in a local veterinary clinic and needs a home of her own! When she was just a wee young pup, her original owner had her out on a walk when a loose dog came up and attacked this poor girl. Her owner took her to the vet where they fixed her right up but the owner was both financially and emotionally burdened with her care. Her owner didn't think he could properly care for her injuries and signed her over to the vet clinic. Olive is now about 6 months old and about 30lbs. She's going to stay relatively 'small' for her breed but is going to be absolutely gorgeous all grown up. Olive needs a VERY special home because of where she's grown up. She's had the best medical attention available, but the clinic employees can only do so much to teach her while they are working. She's a very energetic girl and still needs to learn that she can't use her mouth to play with people. She needs someone who will spend a significant amount of time providing her with proper exercise (she'll need more than just a walk a day and playing ball in the yard) and continued training in basic commands and appropriate interactions with other people and animals. If you aren't ready for the work involved in raising a puppy, PLEASE consider one of our older dogs! We will allow Olive to go into an adoptive home under the requirement that she is fostered through our organization for a minimum of 30 days while we continue to evaluate her temperament and so you as an adopter can make sure that Olive is going to be the right match for your family. Are you ready? Please fill out our Adoption Application if you are ready to make a lifetime commitment to a new four-legged family member. If you know you'd like to help Olive but aren't ready to commit to an additional pet for the remainder of its life, please fill out our Foster Application instead. Thanks!
