Baron (aka Bear-Bear) is an enormously loving and gentle companion dog with a calm demeanor yet playful personality. He loves other dogs and every person he has met, is a quick and willing learner, but needs additional training to perfect his skills. He really loves closeness, retrieving a tennis ball, and going for walks. Baron was abandoned in the neighborhood park of a Home FurEver volunteer, left behind with only a shirt on which to lay. Caring neighbors fed and watched over him for almost two weeks while children played, people jogged and walked their dogs, and stray cats roamed about. With no collar, no tags, and seemingly disoriented, this gorgeous dark brown brindle just curled up on his shirt - watching and waiting. Wary of strangers, he kept distance between them until eventually he began to trust, allowing some to pet him. A Home Fur-Ever volunteer was able to gain his trust and he now lives on their sun porch and in the house. Regal Baron appears to be housebroken, loves to snuggle, sits for his food/treats, and is learning 'wait', 'come', 'down', and 'off'. He's really just a big teddy bear! Barron was found at a local community house as a stray. He is a very sweet guy who needs an immediate foster home! Please help Barron out and give him temporary shelter until a home can be found for him! Email firstname.lastname@example.org for all the details on Barron.
