November 18,2009Contact Leslie atLESLIEDANIELS@comcast.net or 360-910-6283 for more information or to adopt Brody. Please do not contact this rescue as we do not have Brody here. Brody is aproximately a 1 1/2 year old neutered male pitbull. He was found about 10 months ago in a dumpster, severely malnourished and heartworm positive. Brody has now been living at a vet clinic for about 3 months. He goes home with Britteny, a staff member, from time to time as well as Leslie but for the most part has to be here. We take him out for walks and to play as much as we can but it is very hard for us to give him all the time and training he needs. Unfortunately most of his days he is stuck in a kennel at the clinic. He is in dire need of a place where he can run and play and be worked with on a regular basis.Brody is a very sweet and energetic boy. He is really good around other dogs. He's done great with my cats and hasn't even chased one down, but I watch him closely just in case. Brody is very timid around most men when he meets them at first. It seems to be talller men, or men with facial hair or deeper voices. Once he has time to get to know them he seems to be fine around them. We believe he was abused before he was dumped and this is a result of the abuse. He's a quick learner, he knows how to sit and leads pretty well. He is extremely friendly and loves to cuddle and smooch. We have seen no agression issues in him at all in the time he has been here. Brody is current on all of his vaccines, neutered and has been fully treated for heartworm. He just needs to be on heartgard for a year, which the vet will provide. He is a very nice size dog, not real big at all. We desperately need to find Brody a permanent home or at least a foster home to get him out of the vet clinic. Its not fair to keep him locked up in a kennel and it is breaking our hearts. If anyone has room to foster him I'll pay for and deliver his food. We have him on expensive stuff and it's a blend I give mine so I'll handle the cost of that and the vet's office is willing to cover medical expenses. Please help us find him a home!Contact Leslie atLESLIEDANIELS@comcast.net or 360-910-6283 for more information or to adopt Brody. Please do not contact this rescue as we do not have Brody here.
