Adelaide (Addie) was formerly known as the 'bottle pup'. BBR was contacted by an emergency vet when Addie and her mother were brought in by a breeder. The breeder did not want to keep Addie, so at one day old she was transferred to a foster home who had the task of caring for her as her dog mother couldn't. A few weeks later, she was moved to another foster home where she could be with a surrogate dog mother and siblings. She stayed with them for a few weeks so that she could learn from them as she would have, had she been able to stay with her mother. Addie was then moved again to her third foster home, where she has been since. She's now ready for her new forever home!
Addie is such a fun little girl. She goes to doggy daycare and does GREAT with all of the other dogs, although she is sometimes a little rough for smaller dogs. Although she's not very big yet, she was placed into 'big dog' daycare so she wouldn't bother the smaller dogs. Her foster home is working with her on that.
Addie is crate trained and does very well. She is still working on getting her potty training down 100% but is making progress. She is still a puppy, after all! She can also be a little 'mouthy' which is very common for her age, and is just where she uses her mouth a little too much during play. Her foster home is working on that as well. She will need continued training.
She will do well in a home that is somewhat active, has time to continue her training, and can be tolerant of her while she goes through puppy stages.
Addie rides well in a car and so far has shown no fears of thunderstorms or loud noises.
Addie is a great little girl and is ready for her forever home! Apply today if your family is right for her!
