Diamond had a very rough start to her life. She was rescued from a very bad situation in north Florida where she was kept in abysmal conditions with many other dogs. They were not fed enough and were never seen by a vet. When Diamond came to us, she had obviously had a couple of litters of puppies, even though her age is estimated to be 18 months old.
Diamond was dog tested before she arrived here with Sam (a very friendly dog) because it was feared she would be dog aggressive due to several bite scars on her body, but she seemed to come out of her shell with Sam. We think she would be okay with other dogs if they were NOT dog aggressive, but would fight if provoked.
She has the sweetest soul with humans. She's timid but shows no aggression. Right now she startles easily, but once her comfort level has increased with you, she acts like a puppy.
