Ready to Run
LOCATION: Lyons KS
Hellloooo Everyone, My name is Sitka AKA The Snufalupagus because I love to snuff new things and I am ready for action. I like to run and go with you on bike rides and hikes, skateboarding, anything active, just take me with you. Afterwards I will reward you by climbing up into your lap and being a sweet, floppy snuggly baby with the softest fur you have ever felt. But make no mistake and trust me when I tell you I can keep up with your active family. I am young and fun and very very curious. I love shoes and socks and once I have em will shake them till I make myself dizzy. I also love my toys, the more the merrier I think. Most of the times I wake up and get all my toys out of my toy box so I can have them close at hand for any play opportunities. I get along well with my foster brother though he thinks I can be a pest at times. Well come on now, he is a senior Eskie and I am all about play. But when bed time comes you can count on me to be snuggled right up against you and to give you a kiss goodnight
My foster Mom says to say that I am sweet and have a lovable endearing personality. She says that I have the softest coat she has ever felt and can be the funniest clown and the biggest baby. She says I have wonderfully expressive bright eyes and a smile that says I am ready for anything. She says that I am mostly house trained and she is working on a cue to help me know how to let others know I need to go outside and potty, so for now it is best to take me out at regular intervals to avoid accidents. She says that I am 19 inches at the shoulder now and will likely grow a bit more. I was really skinny when I came to her and weighted in at about 20 pounds but since then I have gained some weight and weigh about 23 now. I have fairly large paws and the cutest little bright eyes and am mostly white though I do have a light red on my under side and rump and my tail is red as well. I am neutered and heartworm negative, so am ready to go to a new furever home. She says I am somewhat hard headed and need a strong owner who will be patient enough to teach me what they want me to know. Also, I need an active owner because I do need lots of exercise. Mom says if I can find a furever home with an active, experienced owner she promises I will be the best friend you have ever had and give you more love than you could imagine. So if you could please give me a furever home I would be grateful and so happy my tail would never stop wagging.
Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state. If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers. There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs. Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
