Description:
See Spencer's Homepage Please contact Fay (gramcrackers4u@hotmail.com) for more information about this pet. Location: Mt Vernon, WA Hi, my name is Spencer! I am a very special guy...I'm an American Eskimo and German Shepherd mix, which makes me quite the handsome fellow! I'm neutered, current on all my vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm, flea and tick prevention. I'm also housebroken and leash-trained for the most part (I still pull a little), and I LOVE going for long walks and riding in the car. I need to be an only pet, as I have trouble sharing my people with cats or other dogs. (I don't get along very well them at all!) I do, however, get along GREAT with all people, even kids! I'd LOVE to have some human friends to play ball and Frisbee with and give ME all of their attention! Although I'm 4 yrs old, I still love to chew, so you'll HAVE to keep me occupied with plenty of chewies and keep a close eye on me until I learn what is OK to chew and what isn't. Until I learn that lesson, when you're not home you'll probably need to keep me in an area where I won't 'sample' things I'm not supposed to. I could also use an obedience class to learn some manners. You see, I'm not a bad guy at all--I just never had anyone pay enough attention to me to teach me how to be a gentleman. I still need my blankie to suck on while you are away. I know that's silly, but it helps me feel more secure when I'm alone. I need to be adopted by someone who understands Eskies and is willing to work with me to help me be the great dog I really am! I can't wait to find my new forever family and get away from these silly cats my foster mommy has running around! I'm a very sweet guy who is waiting as patiently as I can for a new, wonderful life. Won't you adopt me into your home and give me that chance? I'll pay you back with every ounce of love in my whole body! If you're interested in me and would like more information, please contact my foster mom or go to our website : www.eskierescuers.org and sign-up to fill out an adoption application and learn more about our adoption process. Thank you and WOOF! SPENCER Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state. If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers. There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
