Description:
See Bambi in MD's Homepage Please contact Melanie (clippinger@gmail.com) for more information about this pet. Woof! My name is Bambi, please let me introduce myself: I’m a sweet southern belle who is looking for her furever home. I was found cold and hungry wondering the streets of South Carolina. ERU has taken me on a long journey north to my foster home in Maryland. I enjoyed the ride and now am settling in here. First thing here, the doctor took a look at me and said I’m in good health even tho I do have some degenerative discs in my back. They bother me once in a while but not enough to be on medication. (I might need to take medication as I get older tho.) So, I’m up for walks and rides and some play but no rough-housing! I like to go for walks tho I tend to pull on the leash a little. I’m very sweet but cautious when I meet someone new. The vet thinks I might have been abused in some way. Once I get to know and trust you I’m a real love bug. I’ll even snuggle up to you and put my head down for you to pet me. I’m a quiet girl, but like most eskies, I will bark when someone strange comes around. I get along with the other doggies here as long as they don’t try to get too close to my food or chewies – then I’ll growl. But you might too with seven other doggies around! If you’d like to hear more about me please email my foster mom at clippinger@gmail.com. She’d be happy to email or call you and tell you all about me!Oh, and pictures are coming soon! Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state. If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers. There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs. Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
