Description:
Chema arrived into rescue when his owner passed away leaving 11 malamutes needing a home. Chema has worked in a team for the past couple of years. He'd make an excellent companion for someone who wants a malamute to help pull a sled or skijor with in the winter and make a great hiking or running companion. Chema loves people and shows no aggression to other dogs. He's food motivated, intelligent and has been easy to train. Chema is energetic but his foster home reports with daily exercise and attention he's a happy dog to live with. Because of his exuberance he won't do well in a pet home with younger children. Chema is about 26 or 27 inches at the shoulder, he weighs in at about 90 pounds and he could gain a bit more weight. He is 2 years old. Chema will be neutered, have all his shots and will be microchipped. All he needs is a home who will take care of him and have fun in the outdoors with him
