Yoshi is a 10 month old female akita mix who was rescued as a stray in Memphis. Yoshi is friendly and well-socialized with a medium activity level. Loves to run and play outside, but then settles down quickly in the house. Likes to go for walks, loves to be with people, enjoys being petted and brushed. Not recommended for cats, she wants to chase them. Great with kids and other dogs. Recommended for children 12 years and older, just because she's so big and active. Good on a leash, rides great in the car. Knows basic commands. Housebroken and crate-trained. No issues such as separation anxiety, counter surfing or barking. Weighs about 55#, healthy, altered and utd on shots.Here's a note from her foster mom: 'Yoshi is a sweet dog, great personality, loyal, trusting and loving. She gets along wonderfully with my scottie but wants to chase cats that we meet on our walks. She's curious, s\has a good protective bark but no aggression whatsoever. She's well behaved in the house, perfectly housebroken. She goes to doggie day care where she behaves beautifully, they love her there. We are working on obedience training; she sits on command and will stay down some. She's smart and wants very much to please, walks well on the leash. Yoshi is still very much a puppy, very enthusiastic at times, sometimes she still jumps up when excited but we're working on that. Her ideal adopter would have a friendly canine buddy for her to play with and the time to give her regular exercise, loving and training.
