My name is Velvet and I am 5 years old. I was surrendered because my owner is moving and can't take me with. I am very sweet and love to be petted! I really enjoy having my belly scratched! I am good with cats as well! I am spayed and up to date on my shots. I have been at the shelter since 11/18/08. I would love for you to be my new owner! If you are interested in me, you can come visit me at Petsmart during their normal business hours! Are you thinking about adopting but want to make sure the pet fits in well with your family? Please consider our foster to adopt program. We will allow you to take adult animals for a week to decide if they are the right pet for you. If everything works out, we can start the adoption process so you can take your new friend home permanently! The adoption fees for cats are $85.00, which include spaying or neutering, worming, rabies, microchipping, and shots current up to when the pet is adopted. *Discounts available when adopting more than one pet.* Dogs and cats are available for adoption at our shelter Tuesday through Friday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the afternoon. The Amarillo SPCA also has pets available at PetSmart every Saturday from 1-5 pm and PETCO every Sunday from 2-5 pm.Cats are available at PetSmart and PETCO during all business hours.
