VELMA - came to Mid Michigan Cat Rescue as a stray. We think she was born in the spring of 2007 and she is a very beautiful, but slightly shy, torti girl. This little girl is good with other cats, although they can easily intimidate her. We haven't had her around any puppies yet - that might be a little stressful. She is a very loving girl, who wants to be even more social and snuggly, she just needs a little bit of time to learn that her new home will be forever. Most cats are very big on security (people too for that matter!) and Velma is no exception. Right now she likes to be picked up, but only for a couple of minutes! But she tries to snuggle in your shoulder or under your chin, so you know that will change. If you take this beautiful lady home, she will make a wonderful companion. All cats and kittens have tested negative for FIV/FELv, up to date on shots, spayed or neutered and have been treated for internal and external parasites. Most are good with dogs, other cats and children.
