Description:
Lilliput was one of a litter of kittens rescued by Whiskers from a stray cat colony. Her siblings have grown to a normal size, but Lilliput has stayed kitten-size.When first rescued at 4 months old, she weighed only a pound and a half. After she was treated for parasites she gained weight rapidly. Today she weighs a little over 5 pounds and is 8 inches tall [at the shoulder].Her lower jaw is slightly shorter than her top jaw, so she sticks out her tongue sometimes, which makes her even more adorable. She cannot chew hard food so she must be given canned food only. She is on a prescription diet of I/D canned food to help her digestion.Lilliput likes other cats and dogs who do not mind when she jumps on them. She is not afraid to stand up for herself even though she is so little. She is very playful and sometimes bites and kicks like a kitten. She would be good with children who are gentle and tolerant.Lilliput is very fast on her feet and loves to get where you are going before you do. If you adopt her, you will have to watch where you step, or sit, or close a door, to make sure you don't accidentally squish her!She is considered a special needs kitty because she is on a prescription diet and is susceptible to ear and sinus infections. All of Whisker's cats and kittens are spayed or neutered, age appropriately vaccinated and tested for FELV/FIV prior to adoption. 'ADOPT A LOCAL RESCUE CAT'Whiskers cats and kittens are ALL rescued from the surrounding CAPITAL DISTRICT.All of Whisker's cats and kittens are spayed or neutered, age appropriately vaccinated and tested for FELV/FIV prior to adoption.
