My name is Meredith Re and I am a veterinarian in Norwalk, CT. I am currently looking for a home for a wonderful cat. Please pass this email on to friends or family who might be interested...
Robbie is a 'young' 15 year old neutered male domestic shorthair cat who was brought to my office to be euthanized. Unfortunately his owner had passed away months earlier from a chronic illness and he was left with someone who was not able to take care of him. When he stepped out of his carrier and onto my table, he immediately started purring and rubbing against me and I chose not to put him down. I asked the current owner if she was willing to turn him over to me so that I may find him a home. She agreed and left a small donation to be used for his medical care until a new home could be found.
A wonderful client of mine agreed to foster Robbie, and he is doing very well in her home. She notes that 'he is a perfect guest - quiet and unassuming, always on time for meals, uses his litter box without fail and enjoys napping on her pillow - without snoring!' Additionally she said that he loves to spend his days sitting in he windows, stretched at her feet, or snoozing on the back of the sofa while keeping her company. He also enjoys a gentle brushing and will come stand on your lap in hopes of enticing you to scratch his neck and top of his head.
Robbie has done great in a home with other cats, but would be equally happy in a home alone with someone who will love him. We have not tried him out with dogs, however he shows no aggression towards them (or anyone) when he visits my animal hospital.
Robbie is a healthy cat who is FIV/FeLV negative and up to date on vaccines.
If you are interested in adopting Robbie or know someone who is, please feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or at my office at (203) 847-5875.
Attached is a photo of Robbie. Enjoy!
