Hello! My name is Nickel and I'd like to warn you that I do not give a good first impression! However, once I get to know you, I'm a really lovable and affectionate cat. When I first meet you, I need a little more time than usual to feel reassured to see how you really feel about me. I do let you pet me initially, but only for short periods of time as I can get overstimulated at first. I will let you know by nipping you, most of the time gently and sometimes just a little too hard. I don't mean to be like this and I do get past it. Once I am reassured of your intentions, I will let you pet me and hold me and cuddle me and I'll sit in your lap for hours while you are on the computer! Oh, and I love to sleep with you at night...oh, my...do I love that! I'll cuddle right up and stay with you the entire night and give a little prayer that you want to sleep in so I can sleep with you longer! I think dogs are pretty cool and the ones I live with right now stick their nose in my belly and I bat them with my paws and that's our little game that we play! We have a lot of fun playing it too! The cats I live with aren't too crazy about me, but we all respect each other's space and get along. I know I kind of push it once in a while, but they let out a growl or two and I walk away. I am OK with a younger kitten that doesn't challenge my authority and respects the beautiful cat that I am! Did I mention I prefer dogs over cats? I would also prefer a home with adults that have the patience and understanding of the cat the I really am! I also like to talk with you! I can carry quite a conversation with you if you want and tell you about a lot of things you probably didn't even know! I'm also very animated when I tell you stories so I can keep your interest! My favorite thing I like to say is 'feed me' and then once I'm fed, I'll tell you what a great person you are and how much I enjoy your company! Of course, when I'm 'having a moment', I'll tell you that also, but that doesn't happen too often! My foster mom added this new picture of me because it shows the 'shy' side of me! Here I am, hiding in one of my favorite spots (in the recliner) thinking no one can see me! My foster mom also added the picture of me sleeping with my favorite foster dog!
