Description:
WALTER is a wonderfully affectionate and gentle senior cat, about 12 years old. He was abandoned by his owner when they moved and ended up in a high kill shelter that planned to euthanize him because of his age. He is THE GREATEST CAT EVER!!! He is SO GENTLE, never puts out his nails, gets along great with other cats and just LOVES PEOPLE and CHILDREN. He does not seem to be scared of dogs either. Smokey is negative FIV/FeLV, vaccinated and neutered. He is very good with other cats, but would be just as happy as the only cat in the home. Seniors are less adoptable because people are afraid that they will not live a long time, or that they may have medical issues. Smokey has had recent blood work that indicates that he has early stage renal disease. He only requires canned renal diet, and can eat standard dry cat food as a supplement. Seniors are easy to add to a home, and are very grateful. Can you open your heart and give Smokey a place to call home for the next 2-6 years? Friends of Homeless Animals can assist with the additional expense associated with Smokey's dietary and medical needs. Please contact us. Please send an application for a private appointment Visit our website at www.foha.petfinder.com Clicking on our SHELTER NAME should take you directly to our website. We are a foster family network. That means that our animals are living in private homes until they find permanent placement. You will not leave with a cat or kitten today. We will accept your application for adoption today. We will contact your vet reference and call your landlord to verify the information that you provide. If everything checks out, we will call you to schedule the delivery of your new pet. We are screening for permanency; it is our goal to place each cat or kitten in a home that will provide the greatest likelihood of a permanent home. We appreciate your patience and hope that you understand and share our commitment to finding safe, lifetime homes for the animals that we genuinely care about.
