Description:
See Clarissa 's Homepage Clarissa is a 6 year old odd-eyed white Persian female. She was found wandering around outside with her coat all matted up. She's front paw declawed and is *terrified* of other cats. We tried her in a foster home with just one other cat and that did not work out well. She is currently in a foster home with the dog, who she doesn't mind at all. She loves people, including children, and enjoys being petted and combed. She is a real 'lap kitty' and did a stint as a therapy cat in a former foster home. Clarissa does have some special needs. She is prone to eye infections and has one eye that is cloudy due to an untreated eye infection that she had before we got her, perhaps while she was outside. She has had some teeth removed due to dental issues, but can eat both dry and canned foods. She was diagnosed with a grade 1/2 heart murmur, but thanks to generous donors we were able to have an echocardiogram done and no structural abnormalities of the heart were noted. Thanks to everyone who donated! . Sorry, we do not ship our cats or provide any transportation. Who We Are: We are a not-for-profit, all volunteer organization who is committed to helping cats. All of our expenses are funded by personal and private donations. All of our cats are kept in foster homes - please note, we do not have a shelter facility, so appointments must be made prior to visiting foster homes. All of our cats are spayed/neutered, FIV/FELV tested, wormed, de-fleaed, and vaccinated prior to adoption. Adoption Process: We require all potential adopters to fill out an adoption application prior to setting up an appointment to visit with the cat(s). We conduct veterinary, personal reference checks and a home check during the application approval process. If you email us, we will provide you with an application - either by email or by mail. Adoption Donations: Our adoption donations are as follows: adults (over a year of age) $75, seniors (over 9 years of age) $50, kittens $125 . We occasionally have reduced donations - these will be noted on the individual cat's listing. If someone adopts more then one cat from us, we will reduce the adoption donations by $50 to $100 (depending on age of cats/kittens adopted). The adoption donations help defray SOME of the costs associated with rescuing/fostering these kitties. Donations are always appreciated!
