Grace was named to honor her giving nature. While in the animal shelter, she adopted two kittens whose mom had died. They were just 3 or 4 weeks old and she nursed them as if they were her own (which had already been adopted). Then, two weeks later, her foster mom got a desperate call from a different shelter - they had a tiny orphaned kitten. Foster mom brought the kitten home, hoping for the best. Grace did not disappoint - she just scooped up that baby and deposited her with her other two foundlings. Now the babies are weaned and growing like weeds, and Grace has recovered from her spay surgery. Why not invite a little Grace into your own home? She will surely be a blessing. Our rescue cats/kittens are tested for feline leukemia and FIV, Vet. checked, given age appropriate vaccinations and receive flea & worm treatment. They are also bathed, groomed & get a nail trim. The adoption fee for cats/kittens is $100, which helps defray these expenses. A Home for Cats is proud to be a no-kill rescue. Once a cat comes into our care, it stays with us until adopted, no matter how long that takes. Of course, when you adopt one of our cats, it makes it possible for us to rescue another one. Our cats are fed only Hill's Science Diet brand cat foods.
