Description:
Photos coming soon... Teddy is a homeless stray from the streets of Perry, Iowa. He appears to have had a pretty tough life. The tips of his ears have had some frostbite and he has several bad teeth which are broken. Teddy is going to visit the kitty dentist very soon to see what we can do about the teeth. He also has a lot of nasal congestion; we aren't sure if it is due to bad teeth or a sinus infection-type thing. We are working on getting him better so please note that he is a special-needs kitty.
That being said, Teddy is a big teddy-bear of a cat. He is the sweetest lion-looking cat you ever did see. He gets along with anyone, cats and dogs, and would just love to have someone love him and give him a wonderful, inside-only home where he can be babied and pampered. We really can't stress enough how much of a sweetheart this kitty is and he will make someone a wonderful companion. He has his claws and would like to get a home where he can keep his claws. He's a very good kitty when it comes to using his scratching post.
The adoption fee for Teddy is $50 which includes alteration (spay/neutered), vaccination (first shots/age appropriate), microchipping, de-worming, and FeLk test. Any additional donation that would like to be given to help with Teddy's dental bills would always be appreciated but is not necessary. The most important thing is that Teddy gets his teeth fixed and then finds a home. We are asking for interested parties to fill out a pre-adoption questionnaire prior to lining up an appointment to see the animal at the animal's home.
Please note: Upon approval of the pre-adoption questionnaire, we will request a homevisit prior to completing the adoption. Panora P.E.T.S. supports the 'Paws Need Claws' Campaign. Cats are rather attached to their claws; please do not de-claw your cats.
Panora P.E.T.S.: Panora P.E.T.S. is a division of A.P.E. (the Animal Protection and Education Charity) of Greene County. P.E.T.S. does not have a shelter; we list animals in need from Guthrie County because there is no shelter within Guthrie County. P.E.T.S. lists available animals as a public service for our local communities. Want to help an animal, but you are not able to adopt? You may give A.P.E. a tax-deductible donation via PayPal.
