Several years ago Punky was left outside with no front claws as his owners had declawed him. Leaving him no way to defend himself. Luckily for Punky he was able to survive. He had remained a stray for a year before someone was able to catch him and give him a home. Punky was given time to adjust to his new home and in doing so he learned to trust again and show his true personality. However, his new owner also learned that Punky was fond of quiet times with just her and not times that involved kids or dogs. He would spend times that involved children and dogs hiding under the bed. So in his best interest he was brought here to the shelter to find a home where he can be happy, loved and treated like a King without other cats, dogs and kids. Those looking to give Punky the home he is seeking need to be aware that he is declawed and must be kept as an indoor only cat. Life outside has only taught him to be timid. His new family should give Punky time to adjust to his new home. Once given an adjustment period and time to form a bond with his new family Punky will show you that he is really a Love Bug!
