Ginger was rescued from the pound and was in pretty bad shape. She was turned in due to her owners allergies that became unmanageable. Poor Ginger was covered in the largest and most dense mats I have ever seen. Despite the pain she must have been in, Ginger was such a sweetheart from the minute we met. She is one of the most loving Persians I have ever had. But, she still has a bit of the 'Persian Princess' attiftude. She loves being pet, and loves to be with you (especially at night in bed :)). She also loves to play. Her cute little smooshed face lights up when she sees the cat toy move! Ginger lived with kids and dogs her whole life, and seems to be fine with the other kitties in rescue. Ginger is extremely beautiful. She is a tortie point Himalayan (not sure if she is a tortie lynx point, or chocolate-tortie point) with a gorgeous coat. She is a 'doll-faced' himalayan, so does not have the extremely flat face of many persians. She looks a bit ragged at the moment due to her many mats being cut out, but she will be back to her beauty queen self very soon. Her owner told the pound that they paid one thousand dollars for her in New York. I was able to contact her owner, and so will her adopter so as to get any required info and possibly her purebred papers. Ginger has no bad habits and no health issues. She is fine with being brushed, and has been to the grooomer. She had been with her previous family since she was 6 weeks old.
