Description:
Please contact humanesociety@murray-ky.net for more information about this pet. Humane Society of Calloway County P. O. Box 764 607 Poplar Street Murray, Kentucky 42071 270-759-1884 humanesociety@murray-ky.net www.forthepets.org DONOVAN was a rescue from the local animal shelter. He was taken into our program on 4-1-2010. Donovan is a BROWN, not black, kitty. He has rich, brown fur with a reddish tint and some underlying tabby markings. Very Striking! Donovan is a sweet cat, is learning what fun toys can be, gets along with other kitties and is housetrained. We will know more about his personality as time goes on. The Adoption Donation for our cats is $99.00. He has been neutered, vaccinated and tested negative for feline leukemia/FIV. The testing is conducted in a vet clinic and results are available for an adopter to verify. He has been dewormed and treated for earmites and given Advantage flea prevention. He will be microchipped also, prior to adoption. Cat Adoption Guidelines: You must fill out an application to be considered for adoption. Please email us at humanesociety@murray-ky.net for an application or call the office at 270-759-1884. Hours are M-Th 10-3. The application can then be sent via email to the same address or sent to our office. You can also download the application from our site on the internet at www.forthepets.org. Please, serious inquiries only. This is not a first come process, we try to match the cat or kitten with a home that will be a Forever Home. We are a small group of volunteers that have full-time jobs outside of our work for the humane society and our time is valuable. The time to process an application can vary depending on the availability of the Cat Adoption Team, the information provided on the application (whether it is Completely filled out) and the number of applicants for that pet. We try to process them in as timely a fashion as possible. We do consider out-of-state adoptions, however, we do not fly or ship our cats due to heat/cold concerns and safety issues. If you are willing to fly out AND fly the cat back in the cabin with you, that would be considered. If you apply to adopt a cat and are selected, you must come to Murray, KY to pick up the cat and fill out the paperwork in person. Most likely, if you are selected and come to Murray to meet the kitty, the adoption will be approved. However, this is not 100%, as we cannot be certain that the cat and you will click in person. Therefore, you would not be committed to the adoption, nor would we should either party feel that it was not a good match. If the application process goes this far, however, more than likely it will be a success! ADOPTION GUIDELINES You must fill out an application to be considered for adoption.
