Description:
Won't you please give an older kitty a chance at a new life? Marble was found as a stray. We don't know exactly how old she is, but we're pretty sure she's at least 8 to 10 years old. Marble is very friendly -- she 'talks' like she's been smoking a few packs of cigarettes a day for many years (she's got a deep, husky voice). Marble is getting used to so many other cats at the shelter, and is now able to stay out of her cage for several hours at a time. When she does come out, she goes straight to the windows to look out, then curls up on one of the beds to have a snooze. She uses her litter box like a champ, so no worries about that! SPECIAL NEEDS: Marble has all the precursors for hyperthyroidism but does not yet test outside normal thyroid values. She will need to go back to the vet in April to be retested, and will most likely need a daily pill for her thyroid by then. (NOTE: I have a hyperthyroid cat at my house, and the pills are tiny, inexpensive, and super easy to give.)
