My name means Wisdom. Wise or not, I'm still a bit shy and will need patience and TLC in a quiet home before I totally trust humans, but I am very gentle and would not hurt a fly. Just don't restrain me or try to pick me up Im not ready for that. I was rescued from the streets in April of 2006 when I was 18 months old. Please come meet me at the shelter. Thanx, Sophie
Our shelter staff can see that Sophie gets along well with other cats and she is increasingly receptive to human attention. She has a history that includes a dislocated hip, perhaps as a result of an injury from her street days. She is also FIV+ Cats like Sophie need to be kept indoors but can live long and happy lives. If the animals get along, they can live safely with other animals too. For additional information about Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) please talk to one of our adoption counselors or read the information about FIV at http://www.vet.cornell.edu/fhc/brochures/fiv.html.
