Sterling, a 1-year-old male cat, was found by his foster mom wandering the alleys in North Baltimore in the snow and ice after a snowstorm in December. Wearing a collar far too small for him, she suspects that he was abandoned by a previous owner. Sterling is a funny and endearing but somewhat complicated boy who purrs readily, loves to chase fur mice and play with his feather toy, and relishes meal time as only somehow who’s known life on the street can! His foster mom suspects that he’s seen far too much trouble for a 1-year-old. Possibly mistreated, probably abandoned for no good reason, and left to wander the streets during the snowiest winter in the history of Baltimore, Sterling at once craves affection and yet shows some signs of mistrust from time to time. An ideal home for Sterling would be one with no other cats, as he clearly will not tolerate sharing space (and competing for love and resources) with another feline. Sterling, with his confident gait, intelligent eyes, and beautiful gray coat with white markings (you can’t help but melt when he rolls over to show you his tummy!), deserves a chance at a forever home. Having some minor behavioral issues, Sterling requires some special care and a patient heart, but his foster mom assures us that he is WELL worth the effort! Can you give Sterling the love and stability that he craves but was denied early in life? Sterling is neutered, litter-box trained, and up to date on all vaccinations.
