Mercutio goes by Merc here, his rescuing family gave him the name because their cat was named Romeo.
This poor cat was over in the Seattle area being shot at by a guy who didn't want him on the property. A family visiting next door saved him and took him home with the hope of finding him a loving home of his own. Sadly it didn't happen as fast as they wanted, and since they were trying to sell their house, they placed him into rescue.
Despite his sad start this guy is a real lover who enjoys kitty-rub circles around your legs and follows you everywhere. He has the greatest meow too, and likes to talk to you sometimes.
He does have a minor health issue - his kidneys can't concentrate urine. According to the vet who saw him this shouldn't effect his quality of life, life span, or health, it just means that he drinks a LOT (I fill his half gallon bowl daily) and of course it has to come out sometime. His litter pan needs scooped at least daily. He is learning to be an indoor/outdoor cat here (in the fenced yard) and that is greatly cutting down on cleaning.
He is also an amazing hunter, sadly catching baby bunnies here. If you have any mice/rats that you need gone, it won't take long!
He does great with other cats and dogs - hissing until he gets to know them but that is about it.
If this guy sounds like a match for you contact his foster mom, Heather, at firstname.lastname@example.org or (509) 994-9789 (Calls welcome until 2am but please not before noon!). He is located in Spokane, WA but could travel to the right home.
