Description:
Please contact T (nmhpadoptions@ymail.com) for more information about this pet. Little Marnie is a very petite girl with smooth, soft, short fur. She’s always very clean and prim and proper looking. She has the most adorable markings and is just as sweet as can be. Her favorite thing is to be petted and sit on the bed or sofa and snuggle. She's got the best purr ever, it's almost musical. Her ears curve out a little bit on the ends and I tell her she has elf ears...it's very cute. She also likes to play with her stuffed mouse. She up to date on her shots and is spayed, she's very good about using her litter box and scratching post, too. She is about a year and a half or two years old and came in to rescue with her babies from the animal shelter. Marnie was a wonderful mom and took very good care of her kittens. After she weaned her babies, she went back to the animal shelter so she could be adopted, but was so nervous at the shelter that we had to bring her back in to foster care. At home, she’s very friendly and loving. We tried to take her to an adoption event at Petsmart, but again, she was very shy and scared. She is shy at first in a new place but warms up and is playful and fun once she is comfortable. She gets along fine with our dogs (they are fairly calm, though) and also with most of our other cats. One of our cats picks on her and she does not defend herself but hides instead, so Marnie would appreciate a home without bullies! If you would like to meet Marnie, it would be best for you to come see her in her foster home. She is much more comfortable in a home environment and you could get a better idea of how sweet she is. She is in foster care in Overland Park, Kansas. Please consider making Marnie part of your family, she is a wonderful little kitty and would make a great pet for a calm household as an only cat or with other non-dominant pets.
