Description:
We are hoping to find a 'Barn Home' for this cat. Please see below for why cats are looking for this type of home. Gryffin is a 2 year old neutered male. He was brought to the shelter because there were too many animals in his home. He is a shy boy who can startle easily but with kind, calm, patience, he will let you pet him briefly. Gryffin makes lots of eye contact and we believe once he is settled that he will 'interact' with his new family from a distance and keep an eye on them. He enjoys laying in boxes and kitty beds and loves wet food. There are some circumstances when cats arrive at the shelter that cannot live the typical indoor or indoor/outdoor life that we encourage. These are cats that have not been socialized with humans because they were born in the wild (feral) or may have been part of a hoarding situation where they did not receive proper socializing. With these types of situations, we have found it best to place these cats in barn-type homes. This is the perfect solution for these cats that will never be adopted into an indoor home environment. We know that with the right barn home, they will be watched over, loved and cared for and will lead a happy life. This is the best outcome for the cat, their owner, and the shelter.
