Description:
Grasshopper showed up in the yard of a wonderful woman that has begun feeding him. We had him neutered, dewormed and vaccinated and he is searching for a family to call his own. This is one of the coolest cats I have ever met. He is a little bit shy at first, but once he warms up he is a snuggle bug. His fur is as soft as a bunny, it is a luxury to pet him. He is not actually black, he is smoke colored. That means his fur is black on the tips and white-grey the rest of the way to his skin. It is beautiful. Grasshopper is a clown. He got his name because he likes to just spring around being silly. He lives inside now, mostly. He uses his litterbox with no problem. He will need appropriate places to scratch, just like all cats. He hangs out with another male cat and they are close buddies (Tiger). I bet he will get along with other cats after the usual adjustment period. Safe Dogs By The River will not adopt cats to households that will consider declawing. We do not endorse this very painful and deforming practice. There are many solutions to unwanted scratching, including but nit limited to Soft Paws, scratching posts and basic training.
