Description:
Hi there- I'm KENNY! I am approximately 2 years old- a neutered orange and white male with a great personality! I am up to date on shots, tested negative for FIV/Leukemia and I have been treated for the prevention of ear mites, worms and fleas. I am housetrained/litterbox trained. I am so thankful to the good people at Advocates 4 Animals for saving my life! I was a starving stray- always wondering when and where I could find my next meal. I had a broken rib when I was rescued- therefore, I prefer not to be held (because I get scared my rib will hurt). I am healed and healthy now and since being rescued, I now live in a wonderful foster home as I await finding a home to call my very own! I get along well with other cats, with dogs (I prefer calm dogs though!) and I do well with both children and adults. I am indoors only-- and I love the indoor life! I will be shy when I first meet you because of my tough past- but if you hold me and talk to me and show me that I can trust you- I will warm up and quickly be forever devoted to you! I am a LAP cat and love to cuddle. Oh and I don't want to forget to mention I love to drink water from a running faucet! I've been told I'm VERY adorable when I'm playing the sink!
My best friend in my foster home is Delila (she is also up for adoption). We bath each other and snuggle together often. If you are interested in adopting me- or would like to learn more about me, please contact Advocates 4 Animals today! I can't wait to meet you!
***Please note, cats are extremely routine oriented pets. It may take 2 week to fully adjust to a new home environment. Please remember to be patient when bringing a new feline into your home. ***
Please contact Advocates 4 Animals to begin the adoption process.
1. A phone or e-mail interview will be conducted
2. If approved, an Advocates 4 Animals member will contact you and schedule a 'meet & greet' with the adoptable pet The 'meet & greet' will be held in your home.
3. At that time of the home visit, we will assess if the pet(s) is a good match for both the family/individual adopting the pet and the home environment.
Please note:
-All individuals living in the home must agree to adopt the pet into their home. All members of the home should be present during the 'meet & greet'-- including additional pets who live in the home.
-If Advocates 4 Animals determines that the pet is not a good fit for the potential adopter, this will be discussed at the time of the home visit.
-Every pet is different. Some pets have highly specialized needs (ie: type of environment, other pets, etc.) while others adjust easily to various environments. Felines typically take 2 weeks to begin adjusting to their new home. All pets have been housed in foster homes while they wait to find a home to call their very own. All adoptable rescue pets are up to date on shots, treated for the prevention of ear mites, fleas and worms and have been spayed/neutered.
-Advocates 4 Animals requires an adoption donation fee of $50.00. The adoption donation assists us in rescuing and rehabilitating additional homeless pets. Our organization is run solely on donations and with volunteers. Without your support we could not continue our efforts!
Please contact Advocates 4 Animals and introduce yourself. Please be sure to let us know which pet you are interested in potentially adopting. We will respond within 48 hours of your request. Thank you for adopting a rescue pet!
