'True benevolence or compassion extends itself through the whole of existence and sympathizes with the distress of every creature capable of sensation.' —Joseph Addison
Serenity is a female grey domestic short hair, born in the Summer of 2008. Serenity was abandoned when her uncaring former family got angry that she had become pregnant. (which is almost a certainty for unaltered cats left outside) Serenity got by the best she could, and gave birth to her kittens in a woodpile. She was found by a kindly neighbor, and brought to Kitty Corner. Although she was not even a year old herself, and far too young to be a mother, Serenity accepted her new role with dignity and grace. She was a wonderful mother to her kittens. Now that her kittens are weaned and looking for homes, Serenity is looking for a home of her own.
Serenity is a very socially oriented kitty. She loves people and is friendly right from the start. She enjoys the companionship of people, and she loves being held and petted. Serenity gets along well with other cats, and she enjoys but does not require the companionship of the feline friends she has here. Because Serenity is such a socially oriented kitty, we feel she would do best in a home where she had someone who could devote some time to her - an elderly or homebound person, a family with children who would play with her, or even another feline friend for companionship.
Despite her rough start, Serenity has never given up hope on the bright future she knows is just around the corner. If you are looking for a loving, affectionate feline to join your family, please call us to come and meet Serenity. Call Kitty Corner at 315-457-4420 to meet our cats and adopt a new member of your family.
Serenity tests negative for Feline Leukemia and Feline AIDS, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped, and all shots are up to date.
