I know I have an odd name, but Molly Tuna is what my parents named me, and so it’s fine with me. I lived with them for almost 11 years, since I was a kitten, and am pretty sad that their health got so bad that I had to leave them and my longtime home. It’s OK here at the shelter, but I’d prefer a place that’s not quite so busy. You know, a place where I can meditate in peace. I’m more of a laid back type, and would like to have an “adults only” home. I’m a friendly cat who’s always lived indoors and want to keep it that way. Why change a good thing now? It would be best if I’m the only cat receiving your attention and promise to be devoted to you (especially if you buy some catnip for me – I love it!). I’m living with a bunch of other felines in a room where we roam freely. It’s OK, but your lap, enjoying some quiet time, is much more appealing to me. I’ve lived with a dog, but I think I can say “been there, done that” – it’s not my preference now. Someone very important here at the shelter says I’m one of her favorite cats and she smiles whenever she looks at me. I’ve got beautiful big eyes and a very kind face, she says. I’m a tad overweight, they say, but I’m a very contented, easy going lady. Even though I’m 11 years old, I still have a lot of living and loving in me. If you’re a senior, ask about the discount you can get when you sign up to take me home. And we can stay together this time fur-ever and I can live out my golden years with you. Ah, that sounds so nice.
