I live in a foster home with my siblings, a dog and a family (the human kind). Anyway, I have been there since I was a wee baby and I love my digs. However, due to this level of comfort, I get upset, growl and hit at my furry brother and sisters when foster mom takes me to the animal shelter on weekends…. this is so potential “forever families” can see me. Since that place does not bring out the best in me, let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am 6 inches from the ground, gray and white, have short hair and love a cozy place to take a nap. I can be shy and quiet or will hide if you make me mad; but, at other times I am a lap kitty and will not let you get away without a snuggle or a stroke on my ears. Therefore, you’d better be good with your hands! I don’t readily like the canine species; but, if you give me a little time I can adjust and live harmoniously….. I have finally accepted my obnoxious Border Collie foster cousin! In addition, I would do well if I was adopted with one of my siblings; but, I am unsure if I could stand another “feline fur ball” that I don’t know. Putting me in this situation may be asking a little much. Let me know if I spark your fancy; and, if so, other arrangements can be made so that you can see me at my best or within my comfort zone. Sincerely, Pansy Cat

HELP Humane Society is a non-profit, no kill animal rescue. We developed a rescue/foster/adoption program where we foster the animals in our own homes. They are treated like our own pets until suitable loving and permanent homes can be found.
Our shelter is located at 511 Main Street, Belton, MO 64012. We are open Tuesday - Friday 1pm to 8pm, Saturday 10am - 6pm, Sunday 12 - 5, and closed on Monday. We can be reached at 816-318-HELP (4357), 816-797-0271 or through our website at www.helppets.org .
Not all animals do well in an adoption center situation, so many may not be at the adoption center. Please call before you come to find out if the animal you are interested in is at the shelter. If you have any questions about one of our animals, you can either call 816-318-HELP, 816-797-0271 or e-mail us at email@example.com.
Adoption information: All our animals are current on vaccinations, tested for diseases, spayed/neutered and evaluated for temperament for the best possible match for a forever home.
Our adoption fee is $90.00 for each animal or $150.00 for a pair.
