Serena is very affectionate and wants companionship all the time, velcro kitty. She came to me as a foster kitty, an adult who was just spayed. She may have had a litter of kittens. Serena is petite and needs to watch her diet as if she is bored she will eat constantly. She is a very calm cat with a very loving disposition. She pretends to be independent but hates to be alone. When Serena arrived in my home she was the most eager cat to make friends. She just wanted to be loved and held and rub up against me. I kept her at home for about 3 weeks and then there was an adoption event that I took her too. She'd never been to the store adoption center before but I pulled her out of the crate and she laid in my arms as though she were at home, on her back and stretched out. Then a young man pet her neck so she laid her head back more and relaxed it so he could do a better job, LOL. People remarked on her total calmness and I knew she was a sweetie but never expected this tranquility. This is why I named her Serena, because as soon as I held her the first time I thought she is so serene that the name came automatically, it's a description of her personality. She loves to sleep with you, and will watch you at night. I believe this cat has the potential to be so sensitive that she will look after her person that loves her. I fully expect her to be a hero cat if the need ever arises.
