Description:
04/19/2007 Lucki is a not so lucky cat. We are hoping his luck will change. His previous owners couldn't afford to keep him and were going to take him to the Humane Society. Luckily for this kitty, the humane society was closed at that time. Lucki had some major issues early on in life and became blocked to the point that he couldn't urinate. His owners couldn't afford to pay for the surgery so they decided to turn him over to a local animal hospital. Lucki thankfully ended up in our care. Needless to say Lucki blocked again and again and again. We knew we had to do something and decided to have the surgery done so this poor cat didn't have to go through this again. Lucki had the PU surgery (Perineal Urethrostomy) almost 2 years ago and hasn't had issues since. Lucki still needs to be on Prescription formula food (Hill's CD dry only) to prevent any urinary tract infections and crystals. As long as he eats his food he is fine. Over the past 2 years Lucki has only had 2 urinary tract infections which was due to him sneaking bites of the other foster cats food. Other than that he is a very healthy cat. This poor boy has been anxiously awaiting his forever home, but keeps getting passed up for one reason or another. He promises if you adopt him he will be right by your side for the rest of your lives. Lucki is about 4 1/2 years old. He is already neutered, front declawed, vaccinated and FeLV and FIV negative. He gets along well with other cats and doesn't seem to mind cat friendly dogs. We also think he would do fine with children. Please give Lucki a chance at the home he so deserves. PRE-ADOPTION FORM All cats are up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, tested for FeLV and FIV, and are spayed or neutered if they are 5 months of age or older. Kittens adopted under the age of 5 months will come back to Itty Bitty Kitty, Inc. to be spayed or neutered as part of our adoption agreement. All of this care is included in our adoption fee of only $75.00!
