Festus is a very sweet, loving boy with a sad story. He was originally picked up as a stray. He was limping badly although he didn't have any obvious injury - possibly hit by a car. He was very thin. He was taken to be neutered as part of TNR (trap-neuter-return). After a couple days of recovery he was released. The next day, when we opened the door, there was Festus. He ran into the house, straight to his holding pen and sat there as if to say 'I've decided I'd like to be a house cat....can you find a good home for me?'Festus loves to have his head rubbed and he loves to be carried around. He is very affectionate and lives to be petted. He does occasionally forget that the outside is a hostile place and try to slip out the door -- but with a gentle reminder -- no Festus - back -- he's no problem. He does have tend to have 'gooky' eyes but loves getting them wiped with a soft cloth. He does give little love bites so would not be good with very small children.Adoption fee $65.00, adoption application/approval required.
