Venus is approximately 7 months - 1 year old in these pictures taken February 15, 2009. She came up to an LP volunteer's home and the volunteer decided to foster her. Venus is very loving and playful. She is a little shy at first when she meets. Her pictures do not do her justice and she is beautiful. We were having trouble with the camera. From Venus's foster mom:Venus showed up at my house in October of 2008, she was approximately 6 months old. She was EXTREMELY underweight and shaggy looking. Now she is a healthy beauty! Regardless of whatever past she has had on the streets, she is a VERY loving cat. She LOVES to be petted and loved on. She purrs every time I pet her. Venus likes to explore the house but has yet to break any of my knick knacks. It’s almost like she knows to be careful! Her favorite spot seems to be on top of my computer monitor or on top of my refrigerator. We have two dogs which she is not very fond of. She doesn’t try to attack them, but she hides until we put them in another room. She will probably be better in a house without dogs. I have not seen her interact with other cats, but she may be just fine. I named her Venus because she is much like the Goddess of Love and Beauty, she is a beautiful cat and full of love. Whoever adopts her will fall in love with her, just like I have.
