Description:
Another sad update. Bart was put to rest today 7-8-08 after a month long struggle. I held him and cried. He started to rally only to become very ill again and was suffering. These are the ones that break my heart and NOT why i got into rescue! If people were responsible and cared for their pets, the Bart's in this world would never end up like this and we wouldn't have to shed tears over their poor, broken bodies! He was a true angel thru it all and is at peace now. Update 7-03-08 Bart is not doing well and is back at the vet. Please pray for him...he has been such a trooper thru all of this!! 6-07-08 Been a busy week in rescue!!! Got a call from a concerned person about an obviously sick cat in a parking lot. Poor Bart was skin and bones, has a broken hip, broken leg, peritonitus and the vet dug a pellet from his shoulder! Who knows how long he has suffered from the cruelties of people but he was very ill. Many places would have euthanized him as he is going to cost lots of $$$$. But he wanted to live and has a very nice purrsonality in spite of his past. His hip is mending and he is on strict rest for several weeks. He is on antibiotics and has had his leg set and been neutered and tested for FeLV/FIV. He eats like he is starving and even manages to use his litter box. He will have his shots when he gets his splint off and then is hoping that someone will see past his street cat exterior to the sweet, soft, guy inside! Nice boy who deserves way better than he has had so far!!!!
